Travel: Varanasi, India

Varanasi, is a city situated on the banks of the River Ganges. When I first started planning my India trip, a friend told me last time she went, she was there for only half a day because she found it rather irritating. As I saw that the journey from New Delhi to Varanasi took about 15 hours train ride and after some discussions with my buddies, we’ve decided to stay for two nights instead. Turned out we all found Varanasi the most stunning and interesting city among the five we went.
I love gulab jamun (an indian sweet)! I am going to look up the recipe and make it myself…one day!

Sometimes I like to see things as if I was short-sighted.

River Ganges –
To Indians, Ganges river is not only a place of pilgrimage but an auspicious place to die.
