Engagement: Queenie + Joe (Part 2)

They’re both convinced that a sudden passion joined them.
Such certainty is beautiful, but uncertainty is more beautiful still.

Since they’d never met before, they’re sure that there’d been nothing between them.
But what’s the word from the streets, staircases, hallways – perhaps they’ve passed each other a million times?
There were signs and signals, even if they couldn’t read them yet.
Perhaps three years ago or just last Tuesday a certain leaf fluttered from one shoulder to another?
Something was dropped and then picked up.
Every beginning is only a sequel, after all, and the book of events is always open halfway through.
The beginning of their love story was friendship, and the things that made that friendship last throughout the years are the same things that will make their relationship last throughout the years… Faith, Hope & Love.

From Queenie and Joe:
Dear Kathy,

Thank you for the beautiful engagement photos! From the very first moment I saw the wedding photos you posted on Facebook, I know straightaway that I need you to do my pre-wedding and wedding photo shoots.

Kathy is very creative, her western style of shooting is nowhere similar to those ordinary wedding photography in Hong Kong. She is able to capture the best moment in a most natural way. She also allows the couple to show their true self naturally in front of the camera – I think she definitely has a sense of understanding of one’s personality and charm, I can only say by asking Joe to wear all those funny accessories (beanie, socks), it’s just so “HIM”. =)

I have been emailing with Kathy for almost 2 months before the actual shooting, and every time I emailed her something she would reply within a short period of time. Every email that Kathy replied was full of new and creative ideas, plus all the tiny little details that we needed to know (ie props; colour of our outfits). She was able to combine and transform our ideas into a customised theme that suits only us.

Kathy is also very organised, if you have read her other blog entry, you would have learned that she will draw and plan out every single shooting scene before the actual shooting. Even though she works on her own, that doesn’t mean there will be any negligence of details. You will be surprised by her thinking/creativity.

Last but not least, we had so much fun shooting with you Kathy! These two sets of engagement photos are just so “US”, and tell you what, we just LOVE them!! We sincerely wish you all the very best with your career, and we look forward to having more FUN with you on our wedding day!!

Best wishes,
Queenie & Joe
